**Well done doc with a sassy narrator** This is one of the best True Crime documentaries that I've watched in a while. With just 1 season and 11 episodes, I only wish that Lifetime had decided to continue this series. The dramatizations were well done. I really don't like when documentaries have over the top acting and Deadly Wives does a good job of getting the point across without overdramatizing. The one exception to this is in episode 8 (my favorite of the series) but the wife herself was overdramatic. The witnesses that were interviewed by the show also did a good job and helped give the show a feeling of the audience getting the complete story. The one issue I had is that there was one episode where I knew the case. In that particular episode, a large detail of the case wasn't mentioned and the witnesses on the show weren't that close to the case. I won't spoil here which that was or what happened, but that one episode is the reason I gave this 9 instead of 10 stars. What really made this show a winner for me was the sassy comments from the narrator. There were a few times I laughed at what she said. Again, my favorite episode was #8 and there was a line from the narrator that had me laughing so hard I had to pause the show.
